The Eastside Neighborhood Council is back in business and meetings are now in person. Monthly meetings will occur every 3^rd Monday, except January and February. (holidays) Tuesday

All meetings are held at the Eastside Community Center.

Great first turnout. Many neighbors and 12 liaisons exchanged conversation on important  Issues.  Things of importance: Safety, ICE immigration concerns were of the utmost importance, traffic tickets, Mottet Library safety concerns, and what designates a 911 call, a 311call or report and a TPD non emergency call. Areas of concern:

1. Speeding on Portland Avenue and when does the construction start.
2. Eastside Training Center at 6002 McKinley Avenue. Looking to expand. 300 students enrolled.
3. Tacoma School’s new IDEA High School being built at the old Gault School.
4. Low turnout at restaurants along 72^nd Street because of ICE harassment.
